Our Role in Digital4Sustainability

POLITEHNICA Bucharest is the largest technical university in Romania, ranked first among the top twelve universities awarded the title of “University for Advanced Research and Education” by the Romanian Ministry of Education and Research. The R&D entities at POLITEHNICA Bucharest benefit from a strong infrastructure across various fields, including 74 R&D personnel, 45 research centres, and approximately 150 research labs. As a leading academic institution, POLITEHNICA Bucharest is committed to contributing its expertise and resources to this vital endeavour.

Our involvement in the Digital4Sustainability project is multifaceted, encompassing tasks under WP1, WP3, WP4, WP5, and WP6. At POLITEHNICA Bucharest, we offer specialized knowledge through courses and training programs in Distributed Systems and Sustainable Advanced Software Systems. These programs equip the next generation of professionals with the skills and knowledge needed to tackle complex challenges. By integrating real-world case studies and practical exercises into our curriculum, we ensure our students are well-prepared to address the evolving landscape of modern digitalization.
