HU University of Applied Sciences provides education for students and professionals aged 17-67. The University has around 35,000 students and over 50 research groups that conduct research into challenges in information technology, climate and sustainability, safety, and health, ensuring constant revision and improvement of its education programs. One of the 5 strategic ambitions of the University towards 2026 is Human Centred & Data Driven digitalisation as it is investing in digital developments. HUAS offers programmes that focus on the practical application of arts and sciences, getting practical work experience through internships.
Our contribution
Our Role in Digital4Sustainability
The HU University of Applied Sciences is a significant contributor to Digital4Sustainability, capitalizing on its extensive experience in various funded projects, particularly those under the Erasmus+ framework. The university’s contributions encompass needs analysis, strategy formulation, and the development of educational programs. Specifically, HU is tasked with conducting the needs analysis in the Benelux region (Work Package 2) and will lead the pilots of new educational programs and training materials aimed at meeting the digital sustainability skills demand (Work Package 4).

HU University of Applied Sciences has combined the expertise of three professorships—Process Innovation & Information Systems, Organizations in Digital Transition, and Marketing & Customer Experience—to enhance its contribution to the Digital4Sustainability project.
Our collective goal is to support the twin transition in organizations in the Netherlands and across EU through innovative Training Programme. We strive to assist organizations, particularly SMEs, in advancing their capabilities in sustainable technologies and corporate social responsibility.
