Digital4Sustainability is a project funded under the Erasmus+ programme, dedicated to accelerating the digital and green transitions within the ICT sector and across European industries. Our mission is to develop and implement innovative training programmes that provide professionals and businesses with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in a rapidly evolving landscape where digital technology and sustainability intersect.
What we do
- A new digital sustainability skills strategy: This strategy will provide a pathway for upskilling and reskilling the European workforce, contributing to the goal of making the ICT sector more sustainable and achieving net zero emissions by 2050 across all sectors through digital technologies. The initial four-year project — from February 2024 to January 2028 — involves the launch of urgent training programmes and international pilot training programmes, aiming to develop a long-term pan-European education and training initiative.
- Innovative training programmes: We design comprehensive vocational education and training (VET) and higher education (HE) programmes that combine theoretical knowledge with practical skills. The programmes will address the urgent and emerging skills needs of the European industry in the key area of digital sustainability.
- A collaborative approach: Our consortium brings together 24 members of the Digital Large-Scale Partnership under the Pact for Skills from 12 EU countries, including leading educational institutions, industry associations and sustainability experts. This will ensure that our training programmes are aligned with current industry needs and future trends.
- Real-world applications: We focus on real-world impact by providing businesses, such as SMEs, with the knowledge and expertise to develop and implement sustainable digital solutions.
